ProvaDent
The only product here that runs two mechanisms at once: live strains to reseed the mouth, plus an enzyme complex aimed at the biofilm plaque hides in. It also shares most of its ingredient list with DentaBiome — we say so plainly below.

About ProvaDent
ProvaDent is a chewable tablet that combines two of the theories on this site rather than picking one. On the microbiome side it carries four probiotic strains meant to compete with the bacteria associated with decay and odour. On the mechanical side it carries BioFresh™ Clean Complex, which the manufacturer describes as a blend of enzymes that breaks down dental biofilm — the sticky matrix plaque builds itself in — without wiping out the bacterial population wholesale.
The format matters here and the manufacturer is explicit about it: the tablet is meant to be chewed and allowed to dissolve, not swallowed whole. If a probiotic is supposed to colonise your mouth, it has to be released in your mouth. That is the same reasoning behind ProDentim and DentaBiome, and it is a real point in favour of all three over a swallowed capsule.
It is also the biggest offer in this category by a wide margin, which cuts both ways: more user feedback to read, and far more affiliate marketing dressed up as journalism. A lot of what you'll find searching this product name is a sales page in disguise.
Read this before comparing it with DentaBiome
ProvaDent and DentaBiome are not just similar — they publish the same ingredient backbone: BioFresh™ Clean Complex, xylitol, cranberry and purple carrot, in a chewable tablet. If you were planning to buy both to "cover more ground", don't. Pick one. The honest difference comes down to the strain list and the flavour, and neither has a published trial to settle it.
What's in the bottle
Five components are named consistently across sources. The amounts behind them are not published — and the enzyme complex is a trade name, not an ingredient list.
BioFresh™ Clean Complex
The product's signature component and its biggest blind spot. Described as an enzyme blend that breaks down biofilm and neutralises the sulphur compounds behind bad breath. What's actually in it is not disclosed anywhere we could find.
Four probiotic strains
Every source agrees there are four. They don't agree on which. One list gives L. paracasei, L. reuteri, B. lactis BL-04 and S. salivarius M18; another names S. salivarius K13. We flag this rather than pick the flattering version.
Organic xylitol
A sugar alcohol with the longest track record of anything in this formula. It isn't fermented into acid by Streptococcus mutans, which is why it has been in dental products for decades.
Cranberry extract
Included for its proanthocyanidins, studied in the general context of making it harder for bacteria to stick to a surface. Studied as an ingredient — not as this product.
Purple carrot powder
An anthocyanin source. The same compound family that makes berries dark. Reasonable as an antioxidant; no specific oral-health evidence we could locate.
What the label doesn't say
No per-strain CFU figure we could verify (one source states 7 billion total, others state nothing), no amounts for anything, and no breakdown of the enzyme complex. You are buying a named formula, not a quantified one.
Always read the current supplement facts panel on the official page — formulas get reformulated.
The daily routine
Follow the directions printed on the bottle you receive. The manufacturer's own sales page says two tablets a day, chewed.
Brush and floss first
This is designed to sit on a clean mouth, and the manufacturer says as much. It is not a replacement for brushing, flossing or a dentist.
Chew two, don't swallow them whole
Two tablets a day, chewed slowly so the strains and the enzyme blend spend time against your teeth and gums. Swallowing them whole defeats the entire mechanism.
Give it weeks, not days
A bacterial population doesn't shift overnight. Judge it over a full bottle, and stop if you notice irritation or anything else that feels off.
Strengths and trade-offs
Based on the published label and purchase terms — not on lab testing.
What works in its favour
- Two mechanisms in one tablet — reseeding plus biofilm breakdown
- Chewable, so the formula actually spends time in your mouth
- Xylitol and cranberry are the better-evidenced ingredients in this whole category
- By far the most user feedback available of the four, if you can filter the affiliate noise
- 60-day money-back guarantee, applied by the retailer
What to keep in mind
- BioFresh™ Clean Complex is a trade name with no disclosed composition
- Sources contradict each other on the strain list, and the tablets per bottle aren't stated by the vendor
- Nearly the same ingredient backbone as DentaBiome — buying both is paying twice
- No published clinical trial on the finished product
- Its ClickBank listing shows a recurring-billing option, so read the checkout carefully
- The volume of affiliate content makes honest research on this product unusually hard
Who it's for — and who it isn't
Probably a good fit if
- You want the probiotic approach but also want something aimed at plaque's structure
- You want the formula in contact with your teeth, not routed through digestion
- Bad breath is the symptom you actually care about
- You want the option with the most existing user reports to read
Look elsewhere if
- You refuse to buy a proprietary blend with no disclosed composition
- You already take DentaBiome — you'd be duplicating most of the formula
- You suspect your diet rather than your bacteria; that's Dentolyn's angle, not this one
- You're pregnant, nursing, immunocompromised or on medication without medical advice
Not a substitute for dental care
ProvaDent is a dietary supplement. It is not approved to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent gum disease, cavities, infections or any other condition. You will see affiliate ads for this product claiming it reverses gum disease. It does not. Keep brushing, keep flossing, and see a dentist about dental problems.
ProvaDent FAQ
Close enough that you should only buy one. Both are chewable tablets, and both publish the same core list: BioFresh™ Clean Complex, xylitol, cranberry and purple carrot. Where they part company is the bacterial side — DentaBiome is positioned as a postbiotic with a Lactobacillus complex, ProvaDent as four live strains — plus flavour and packaging. Neither has a trial on the finished product, so there is no evidence-based way to call a winner. Pick on format preference and price, not on marketing.
We don't know, and neither does anyone publishing about it. It's described as an enzyme blend targeting biofilm and volatile sulphur compounds — the molecules behind bad breath — but the composition and amounts aren't disclosed on any page we could find. It's a registered trade name. Treat the claims attached to it accordingly.
The dose is settled: the manufacturer's own page says to chew two tablets a day, "the same way you'd enjoy a breath mint". At that rate a 30-day supply means 60 tablets, and the bottles we've seen photographed do say 60 — but we haven't found the count stated in the vendor's own text, so treat the number as very likely rather than confirmed. Read the panel on the official page if it matters to your order.
Possibly, so read the checkout. The retailer's listing for this product includes a recurring-billing option, which means a subscription exists even if the single purchase is the default. Before you confirm, look for any pre-ticked box or "subscribe and save" option and make sure you're buying what you meant to buy.
Through the official site, with checkout handled by ClickBank. That's where the 60-day refund window applies — marketplace listings sit outside the manufacturer's control, so there's no authenticity guarantee and no refund route. Read the current terms at checkout before ordering.
